WWCA Annual Business Meeting

President Bob Empey called the meeting to order at 12:00 p.m.

Don Hale gave the Secretary's report and it was approved as read.

Mel Dow gave the treasurer's report stating a balance of $23,366.61; which was approved as read. Bob Sweeney made a motion to have the Treasurer's report printed on the web-site. Dan Hein 2nd. Motion carried. 

Committee Reports: as presented by President Bob Empey

The 2007 Golf Outing will be held at Lake Breeze in Winneconne on June 16, 2007. The committee is asking for donations from wrestling clubs for hole sponsorships and also additional golfers for the event.

Bob thanked John Stockowitz for his work in making the Wisconsin Fall Clinic one of the best clinics in the Midwest. 

Additional Yearbook updates should be sent to Yearbook Chairman Ken Manning.

We need to utilize the web-site especially during the voting process.

The Hall of Fame Banquet continues to grow and is the highlight of the weekend.

Last evening the WWCA Executive Board voted to begin a WWCA Museum fund with a start of a $1000.00.

State Coach Scott Schmitz will be contacting Seniors at the Individual State Tournament for the National Team Tournament. 

Mel Dow will be working to develop the All-Star Event.

284 coaches voted for the 3rd place proposal. The WIAA was impressed by the fact 84% of the schools voted.

The WWCA worked with Minnesota regarding the number of weight classes. Minnesota will vote at the end of this year. The data will be posted on the Web-site.

The State Tournament will be shown on FSN North and be produced by When We Were Young Productions.

The WWCA is working on a proposal to have the State Team Finals for Divisions 1,2, and 3 on Center Stage. There will be a Sectional questionaire regarding the State Team Finals.

Items from the WIAA and Dave Anderson are to have coaches be aware of concussions and handling of blood with gloves. The new transfer rule is also on the web-site. Other questions and concerns can be directed to Dave Anderson at the WIAA office.

Jim Campbell made a motion to adjourn. Bret Fankhauser 2nd. Meeting adjourned 12:37.
