Wisconsin Wrestling Coaches Association

In collaboration with the Wisconsin Wrestling Coaches Association/Wisconsin Wrestling Federation, on October 19th at 10:00AM, the Lakeland College coaching staff will be hosting an “on the mat” coaches clinic for local area wrestling coaches. The clinic is free and open to coaches of all age levels. We will provide youth/high school coaches an opportunity to get on the mat and physically work on basic skills in preparation for the season. (Not hard drilling or intensive, just a chance to “feel the technique” in order to learn hands on and better serve your athletes)

Some of the points that will be emphasized include:

• Basic Skills
• Core Positions
• Drills
• Technique progression
• Nutrition
• Daily, weekly, monthly, and annually training plans

Coaches in attendance will have the freedom to ask questions and work on desired skills. Our goal is to give back to the sport and hope to provide an educational service to the local wrestling community. Check in will begin at 9:45am with the clinic running from 10am-3pm.
